New York City FC vs New England Revolution – NYCFC to win @ 1.72
New York City FC are in great form and they sit nicely in second place in the Eastern Conference behind Philadelphia Union and they have two games in hand. They have won their last four matches in succession and look like a great bet to extend that run to five when they host New England on Saturday night.
NYCFC are priced at 1.72 for the win and that looks generous on the bookies’ behalf. Yankee Stadium is an extremely tough venue to go to, mainly because New York City are a strong outfit, but the pitch is also horrendous. NYCFC have won an impressive eight of their last nine home matches and they are worth backing this weekend.
FC Cincinnati vs Toronto FC – Toronto FC to win @ 1.85
Toronto FC are a good price this weekend, and I mean very good. I can’t quite fathom why they are the price they are as FC Cincinnati are genuinely dreadful and have established themselves as the whipping boys in the league. They are rock-bottom of the Eastern Conference and are 13 points adrift of rivals Columbus Crew who sit above them.
FC Cincinnati have lost seven of their last eight matches including their last five home matches in a row. They have conceded 10 goals in their last three matches and don’t look like stopping any time soon. Get your money on Toronto as soon as you can is what I would advise.
Orlando City vs LAFC – LAFC to win @ 1.70
LAFC were involved in a shock result last time out as they were beaten 2-0 at home by Minnesota United in a match they dominated but didn’t have their usual shooting boots on. This looks like a great opportunity for them to bounce back and they are performing well on the road, winning four of their last five away from the Banc of California Stadium.
LAFC have won their last two away matches without conceding a goal. This stat looks good as they prepare to take on Orlando City who have lost their last two matches without scoring a goal. These two have only met once before and it was a 4-1 triumph for the Western Conference side.
Colorado Rapids vs Seattle Sounders – Both Teams to Score @ 1.50
This game is one I am expecting to be a goal-fest and I believe that both teams to score looks like a very good bet. It has occurred in Colorado’s last four home matches which they conceded eight goals across and this gives me good faith that Seattle will find their way onto the scoresheet. It’s also worth noting that Colorado have scored themselves in their last 15 matches at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
Seattle have managed to score in four of their last five matches on the road, so expect goals in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Portland Timbers vs Sporting Kansas City – Under 3.5 goals @ 1.66
In the match between Portland Timbers and Sporting Kansas City, I am expecting the opposite and believe that there is value in betting against goals and you can even get 1.66 for going under 3.5 goals. Neither side have been that impressive in front of goal recently, especially Sporting KC who have seen three 1-0’s in their last four matches. As well as that, Portland have only managed to score twice in their last three a home.
These two sides met twice as Providence Park in 2018 and both matches finished goalless… I see the value in going against goals again this time around.
