Weekend German Football Tips – My Five Best Bundesliga Bets – 24/08/19

Hoffenheim Win @ 1.85

After a fairly eventful loss against a tough Frankfurt side, Hoffeheim will be looking to bounce back with a win as they welcome a Bremen side fresh off a 3-1 defeat against a mid-tabled destined Dusseldorf. At home for the first time this season, you’d expect them to regain their confidence and put Bremen to the sword. Hoffenheim were well known last season for their eventful matches with their potent attack really being on show. The likes of Andrej Kramaric are likely to make an appearance and the Croatian’s threat should prove to much for a Bremen side, who as I said conceded 3 last week at home to Dusseldorf.

Bayern -1 Handicap @ 1.75

Bayern will be out for revenge following a traumatic night last Friday where they were held to a 2-2 by Hertha Berlin despite absolutely dominating the game from start to finish. Coming up against a Schalke side who really lacked confidence in their first match against Monchengladbach. You know for a fact that Niko Kovac’s men will be really looking to set the tone for the rest of the season and with new star man Phillipe Coutinho primed to make a debut, I’m expecting them to pummel Schalke.

Dusseldorf vs Leverkusen – BTTS Yes @ 1.50

Both were involved in hectic matches last week with goals definitely being at the forefront of their agenda’s. Leverkusen scraping past newly promoted Paderborn 3-2 and Dusseldorf brushing aside Bremen 3-1. This highlights the potential of both attacks but also the frailties of both defences. I’m expecting this to come to fruition as the two collide on Saturday, I’d be expecting Leverkusen to come out on top in a high scoring match in which both teams find the back of the net.

RB Leipzig vs Frankfurt – BTTS Yes @ 1.57

Two teams well known for their scoring exploits last season, with RB Leipzig playing an attractive style of football and Frankfurt, just like Hoffenheim known for their hectic matches. I’m expecting this to follow suit with both teams finding the back of the net. I was pleasantly surprised to see this priced at higher odds than the Dusseldorf vs Leverkusen BTTS, expecting the odds to be switched around. Frankfurt are light on their stars as both Luka Jovic & Sebastien Haller left the club in the summer, but the likes of Rebic & Kostic will be looking to ‘wield the torch’ going forward this season. Coupling this with the ever-increasing talent of Timo Werner and the creativity of Marcel Sabitzer, you’d expect this one to ooze goals.

Monchenglabach Draw No Bet @ 1.85

After a fairly drab 0-0 against Schalke last time out, the exciting Monchengladbach will be looking to set the tone and stake their claim for a top four spot. They come up against Mainz side, who were absolutely pummelled by Freiburg last week and will be completely shot of confidence. I liked the price of a Win @ 2.50 but opted for the added security of Draw No Bet, I just really can’t see Mainz winning this one. Monchengladbach dominated against Schalke and things will begin to tick, with new signing Breel Embolo moulding into a quality addition to this team, the Swiss striker will be looking to stamp his mark on the season early on.
