FC Twente vs FC Utrecht – Both teams to score @ 1.5
Twente failed to score for the first time last weekend, but I wouldn’t expect that to become a consistent theme for them this season. The game wasn’t short of action, almost 30 shots between the two sides but no finishing touch. Before last weekends bore draw, Twente had found the net seven times in their first three matches and both teams had scored in each of those.
Utrecht suffered a surprising defeat against VVV Venlo last weekend but continued their 100% record for both teams to score this season. The stats would indicate that the goals will fly in in this one.
Sparta Rotterdam vs Ajax – Both teams to score and Ajax to win @ 2.0
Another game down and still no defeats for Sparta Rotterdam. Sadly, I can’t see them continuing that against Ajax. I can however, see them managing to get themselves a goal. Only Ajax themselves have scored more goals than Sparta in the Eredivisie so far.
Ajax have only kept one clean sheet so far and it was in their home drubbing of FC Emmen. The Amsterdam side have conceded in both their away games so far as they struggle to life after De Ligt. They’ve got more than enough quality to inflict Sparta’s first defeat since returning to the top flight but it will be far from plain sailing.
ADO Den Haag vs VVV Venlo – VVV Venlo win or draw @ 1.73
These two both managed to take all three points last time out. VVV managed a cracking win away at Utrecht, who had been very impressive up until that point. VVV merited their victory and they’ll be keen to take that confidence back in to a home game with Den Haag.
The visitors managed to put an end to a run of three straight defeats as they cruised past the league’s bottom side: Waalwijk. However I think Den Haag’s hope lies with beating sides of that calibre and keeping themselves just above water. VVV should have enough in the tank to take at least a point in this one.
Vitesse Arnhem vs AZ Alkmaar – Vitesse to win either half @ 1.57
Vitesse only managed a draw on the road last week when I hope they’d take all three points. However they return home to their fortress to face an unbeaten Alkmaar side who are yet to concede a goal.
If anyone is going to break their defence, it has to be Vitesse at home. Their goal scoring output on home soil is exceptional and with AZ jaded from their Europa exploits they could struggle to get going or fade late in the second half. Vitesse just to win either half is a very solid bet given how good they are at home, they often start very strong too which could easily see this bet in by half time.
RKC Waalwijk vs PSV – PSV to be winning at HT/FT @ 1.53
It’s been a rough ride for RKC so far. They’re yet to taste victory in the top flight this season and suffered a humiliating home loss to Den Haag last week. In their three losses this season they have been behind at half time in every single one and they’ve faced sides with much less firepower than PSV.
After a bit of a slip up on opening day PSV have had two comfortable victories and I don’t see much changing in this game. It’s hard to find value in a match like this but I think this selection is your best bet.
