Wales Win & Over 1.5 Goals @ 1.53
After a turbulent qualifying campaign thus far, Ryan Giggs’s men will be raring to get back to winning ways after two defeats away from home against Croatia and Hungary. This match really couldn’t have come at a better time for the Welsh and they’ll really be looking to get back to winning ways to get their qualifying campaign back on track.
The outright win is priced @ 1.22, which is too low for me to consider it a banker, so I’ve added in the Over 1.5 Goals to boost the price. Wales fast and flowing attack should be more than enough to dispose of Azerbaijan on Friday night.
Bale to score first @ 3.25, Bale to score 2+ Goals @ 4.50
The Talismanic Real Madrid star has really been amongst the headlines in the last few weeks, ranging from transfer rumours to scoring two and being sent off just this weekend.
You can get the Welsh star to score first @ 3.25, given his current form and Wales reliance on him, he’s more than likely to be in amongst the goals against a lower level of opposition.
I also really like the look of him to score 2 or more @ 4.50. As I just said, the Welsh attack with speed and flair, with the likes of David Brookes, Dan James & Harry Wilson supplying the country’s top goalscorer.
Wales -1 Handicap @ 1.83
At home, the Welsh should really dominate this match against a lower level of opposition. It’s not just their fast-flowing attack that has gained them plaudits over the last 5 years, but they’ve also been defensively strong. Ryan Giggs’s will be more than keen for no upsets whatsoever and will be expecting his Welsh side to go about their job in a dominant fashion.
Wales Win to Nil @ 1.66
As I’ve spoken about in this article thus far, Wales really can’t afford slip ups and must go about their business in a meaningful fashion. Giving Wales scoring power, I have no doubts they’ll win the match and I touched upon how defensively solid they have been. Their last home qualifier being a dominant 1-0 win over Slovakia and I’m expecting them to go about their fashion in the same way for this match. Tight at the back, not giving Azerbaijan any space and with their trademark 3-5-2, they’ve got a solid base to shut them out.
