Italy Serie A Betting: Back I Partenopei to cruise to victory

Napoli to beat Sampdoria @1.29

Sampdoria couldn’t have asked for a worse start to their season than this. They haven’t just lost their first two games, they’ve taken a hammering in both of them. They lost 3-0 at home to Lazio, succumbing 4-1 against Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium.

New manager Eusebio di Francesco has struggled to get combinations right at the back, with the defensive pairing of Omar Colley and Jeison Murillo failing to get things right.

Napoli, on the other hand, have scored seven goals already this season. They picked up a thrilling 4-3 win over Fiorentina at the Artemio Franchi and then lost by the same scoreline to Juventus as Kalidou Koulibaly’s late own-goal costed them all three points. But Carlo Ancelotti’s men have been convincing going forward and that will hand them their second win of the season.

Lukaku to score against Udinese @1.74

Since arriving from Manchester United this summer, Romelu Lukaku has scored one each in consecutive games. He scored in the nerazzurri’s 4-0 win over Lecce and in their 2-1 win over Cagliari.

Igor Tudor’s men did pick up a shock 1-0 win over AC Milan at home on the first day of the season but lost 3-1 to Parma in their previous game. Gervinho, Roberto Inglese and Riccardo Gagliolo were on the scoresheet for the Ducali.

Inter have scored six goals so far this season and have looked very impressive going forward. They will have enough to beat the visitors from the Friuli.

Juventus to score first and beat Fiorentina @1.88

Reigning champions Juventus have started their season well but it hasn’t been devoid of any problems. Koulibaly’s late goal handed them the win against the Partenopei after Juve had allowed Napoli to come back from 3-0 down to make it 3-3. Despite that, it has become clear that Maurizio Sarri’s methods are working.

La Viola though, are struggling. While the 4-3 loss to Napoli in their first game offered a lot of hope to Vincenzo Montella, but the 2-1 loss to Genoa was a flattering scoreline. They have made a total of 13 signings this summer and three of them came on deadline day itself. But with Montella still taking time to implement his methods and new striker Pedro likely to take time to settle in, the home side are likely to struggle on Saturday.

Goal in both halves in Hellas Verona v AC Milan @1.76

Newly promoted Verona have enjoyed a good start to the season. After being held to a 1-1 draw by Bologna on the first day of the season, Ivan Juric’s men picked up all three points against fellow promoted side Lecce. A late Mattia Pessina goal was enough for the win.

The rossoneri though, still seem to be getting used to Marco Giampaolo’s complex methods. While their 1-0 defeat to Udinese was a disappointment but their 2-0 win over Brescia was

very much an improvement. With Ante Rebic signed and Ismael Bennacer expected to start once again after a man of the match performance against Brescia, it won’t be a surprise if Milan get some goals against another newly-promoted side.

Roma to beat Sassuolo without keeping a clean sheet @1.05

Roma have had an indifferent start to life under Paulo Fonseca. The giallorossi have often sparkled going forward, but have been a mess defensively just as many times. They conceded 3 against Genoa and were held to a 3-3 draw but drew 1-1 against Lazio in the Derby della Capitale.

Sassuolo will be encouraged by their big 4-1 win over Sampdoria- a game that saw Domenico Berardi grab a sensational hat-trick. While they did endure a 2-1 defeat to Torino in their opening game, the neroverdi have scored five goals in two games and will bring some attacking threat to the plate at the Stadio Olimpico.
