MyBetBuddy’s resident EFL expert takes a look through the weekend’s Championship fixtures and picks out his five best bets.

Brentford vs Reading – Brentford Win @ 1.73

Brentford are one of the form teams in the Championship. The Bees have won four of their last five fixtures. Striker Ollie Watkins has scored 10 Champioship goals this season so Reading will have a mission to stop him.

The Royals average fewer than a point per game on their travels, with just six points picked up from their seven away league fixtures so far.

Bristol City vs Nottingham Forest – BTTS @ 1.80

Bristol City have had both teams find the net in three of their last four fixtures. Lee Johnson’s side are usually entertaining to watch which results in matches with plenty of goals in.

Forest have had two of their last three matches have both teams score in. The only exception in that period was their East Midlands derby victory over Derby County.

Huddersfield Town vs Birmingham City – Huddersfield Win @ 2.70

Before defeat to second place Preston North End in their last outing, Huddersfield had gone seven games unbeaten. Their form has drastically improved since the appointment of Danny Cowley as manager.

Birmingham are on a poor run away from home. Pep Clotet’s team have lost their last four away games. 2.70 for Huddersfield looks superb value.

Luton Town vs Leeds United – Leeds Win @ 1.50

Luton have really started to slump in recent weeks. Four losses in a row has led to murmurs around Kenilworth Road that Graeme Jones’ job may be starting to come under pressure.

Leeds need a win to keep up the pressure on the top two. They are unbeaten in five now and will fancy their chances of making that six here.

Swansea City vs Millwall – Swansea Win @ 1.95

The Swans are flying high in the Championship at the moment and are on a three game unbeaten run.

Millwall are yet to win away from home in the league this campaign. A trip to play-off challengers Swansea is no easy match for a side that do not travel well.
