The top two from last seasons Eerste Divisie go head to head on Saturday in a game that looks set to promise goals. These two average 3.9 and 4.1 goals respectively and have seen over 2.5 goals in 88% and 75% of their games respectively. Both teams have scored in 75% of Sparta’s games and in 88% of FC Twente’s games, statistically this game looks like an absolute dream for goals and we could be in for one of the best games so far this season.
Again, the stats on this game are exceptional. Both teams to score has landed in 62% of Vitesse’s matches and in 88% of FC Utrecht’s matches. With over 2.5 goals landing in 75% and 62%, respectively. Both sides see an average of around 3.5 goals per game and will be keen to make their cases for challenging the elite sides at the top of the league.
Heracles have won three of their last four, with their only defeat coming to Az Alkmaar which is hardly an insult. Emmen continue to struggle towards the foot of the table, they’re yet to win a game and have conceded a mammoth 17 goals in their eight games this campaign.
Emmen also have the worst away record in the league, scoring just two goals and conceding 10 in their three matches on the road so far.
Alkmaar keep going from strength to strength as they won to nil for the third consecutive match last week. They’ve conceded just three goals which is quite incredible and makes them by far the toughest defence in the division.
Willem have won just one of their last three and are teetering on the edge of plummeting down the league. The early season feel good factor has gone and the quality of Az will be too much to handle for the mid-table strugglers.
Feyenoord have been far from convincing throughout the season, but the fact remains that they have only been beaten once. They thrashed FC Twente 5-1 last week in a game that many earmarked as a potential scalp for the visitors. There has been over 2.5 goals in four of Feyenoord’s last five and I expect them to grab a few against a really poor Sittard side.
Sittard are one of three sides yet to get a win, they’ve also shipped 21 goals already. The potency in Feyenoord’s attack will be overwhelming for the hosts, I expect them to be carved apart in this one.
