As usual in Scotland the two Glasgow giants are the overwhelming favourites for the title with Celtic best-priced at 1.50 and Rangers at 2.88 in the Outright Winner market (Oddschecker). Justifiably so as they were as dominant over the rest of the league as they have been for a good while.
The ante-post that intrigues me the most is the ‘without Celtic & Rangers’ market. This is essentially who finishes highest out of the other 10 teams and Aberdeen are priced as favourite here at 2.10 (Bet365). One of Aberdeen’s key players in the last two seasons has been striker Sam Cosgrove. He has netted 12 and 8 non-penalty goals respectively and it has got to be a huge worry that he may be on his way out. Aberdeen seem keen to cash in this summer having previously been guilty of letting contracts run down on sellable assets like Graeme Shinnie and Ryan Jack. Should he depart then scoring could be an issue going into the new season.» Read more about: Scottish Premiership Season Preview – Best of the Rest »
