Kasper Schmeichel – Recording 10 clean sheets and 90 saves last season, the Leicester man was one of the best value for money goalkeeper picks in FPL 2018/19. With Leicester looking to improve on their league position this year, Schmeichel will be expected to better that this time around.
Andy Robertson – A no brainer really. The Liverpool man scored the highest number of FPL defender points last season (213) and will be looking to do it again.
Lucas Digne – The Everton man created more chances (71) than any other defender in the Premier League in 2018/19 and with the Toffees adding quality up top this season in Kean, I expect these chances to turn into more assists and therefore more points.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – The new Manchester United signing was highly impressive last season for Crystal Palace. Playing in a side with more quality around him will increase the amount of points he records.
Jack Grealish – The Aston Villa star will finally get the chance to prove himself in the Premier League. With Villa adding huge amounts of quality to their squad, this will only help Grealish shine.
Sadio Mane – The 2018/19 golden boot winner scored a hefty load of FPL points last season and will be looking to improve his record this campaign to help Liverpool win their first Premier League title.
Raheem Sterling – The Manchester City star averaged 6.9 points per match in 2018/19; no other FPL managed to average higher. With City set to take the league by storm again this year, this is another no brainer.
Ruben Neves – Spending big on proven points scorers means you have to compromise in some positions. For £5.0m Neves is a quality buy. He will start most matches and can score from set pieces.
Jamie Vardy – The Leicester man quite simply put is one of the most reliable goal scorers around. With 18 goals last season, he will be looking to improve on that figure this campaign.
Joshua King – The Bournemouth striker scored 12 goals last season. He scores a good chunk of his goals from the penalty spot and with VAR set to increase the number of penalties, could this be the season where he hits the high teens/early 20’s.
Diego Jota – The Wolves forward had an incredible first premier league campaign last season scoring 9 goals and setting up 8 despite missing a hefty chunk of games. Priced at £6.5m, he looks great value for money and is poised to aim for double figures in both his goals and assists this time around.
Monthly prizes will be awarded the the team at the top of the league at the end of each game month. Below is a screenshot of the latest league table.
